Join today for only $10. \nOur April GUEST SPEAKER:\nVivian Chiu (b. 1989)  was born in Los Angeles and emigrated to Hong Kong at the age of three. Her interests in creating objects led her to attend the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA ’11 Furniture Design) and Columbia University (MFA ’19 Sculpture). Vivian primarily uses wood to create optical sculptures through repetitive labor intensive processes. \nVivian has exhibited nationally and attended residencies such as Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts\, Penland School of Crafts\, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and the Museum for Art in Wood. She was awarded a 2020 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Craft/Sculpture\, the 2023-24 VMFA Fellowship and was part of the 2022 American Craft Council Emerging Artists Cohort.
