Join today for only $10. \nOur April GUEST SPEAKER:\nVivian Chiu (b. 1989)  was born in Los Angeles and emigrated to Hong Kong at the age of three. Her interests in creating objects led her to attend the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA ’11 Furniture Design) and Columbia University (MFA ’19 Sculpture). Vivian primarily uses wood to create optical sculptures through repetitive labor intensive processes. \nVivian has exhibited nationally and attended residencies such as Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts\, Penland School of Crafts\, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft and the Museum for Art in Wood. She was awarded a 2020 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship in Craft/Sculpture\, the 2023-24 VMFA Fellowship and was part of the 2022 American Craft Council Emerging Artists Cohort. By joining our society\, you can gain access to a network of collectors and traders who can help you find\, evaluate\, and trade antique tools. \n“The Feast” meeting will feature lots of great food\, side dishes and deserts.  We ask members to bring family and/or a new tool buddy to share in the FEAST.  It will be a time to sit and chat about tools\, friendships and meet new members.  It will be the best pot luck dinner! \nThere will be tool dealers and a NICE tool auction – members can bring a limit of ten GOOD tools – bringing a starting bid of $10.00 each.  Sellers get 90%\, 10% to the club.  In the past\, we have sold ivory rulers\, very nice planes\, and rare levels.  We will take cash\, Paypal and check\, no cards.  Also\, dues will be collected or pay on line through the website.
