RATS Meeting – November 2025 “The Feast”
The Richmond Antique Tool Society (RATS) holds six meetings per year. Regular meetings are usually scheduled for a Thursday or Friday evening starting at 5:00 p.m., and include tool sales, a general meeting, a themed presentation, and a small auction.
Joining RATS can provide an opportunity to meet and connect with other collectors and enthusiasts who share your passion for antique tools. You can exchange ideas, techniques, and experiences with others who are also interested in antique tools, which can be inspiring and motivating. Members often have access to resources, such as books, magazines, and online forums, that can help you learn more about antique tools and their history.
Many RATS members are also collectors and traders of antique tools. By joining our society, you can gain access to a network of collectors and traders who can help you find, evaluate, and trade antique tools.
“The Feast” meeting will feature lots of great food, side dishes and deserts. We ask members to bring family and/or a new tool buddy to share in the FEAST. It will be a time to sit and chat about tools, friendships and meet new members. It will be the best pot luck dinner!
There will be tool dealers and a NICE tool auction – members can bring a limit of ten GOOD tools – bringing a starting bid of $10.00 each. Sellers get 90%, 10% to the club. In the past, we have sold ivory rulers, very nice planes, and rare levels. We will take cash, Paypal and check, no cards. Also, dues will be collected or pay on line through the website.
