The Richmond Antique Tool Society (RATS) holds six meetings per year. Regular meetings are usually scheduled for a Thursday or Friday evening and include tool sales, a general meeting, a themed presentation, and a small auction.  We meet at the Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116.

Typical Meeting Agenda

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Tool Dealer Setup
5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Tools Sales and Fellowship
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm: General Announcements
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Presentation and Break
8:00 pm - 8:30 pm: Tool Auction
8:30 pm - 9:00 pm: Tool Sales and Dealer Breakdown

Regular meetings are held in February, April, June, September, and November. The annual RATS Gathering is held in December and is our biggest and best event of the year, with a big potluck dinner, desserts, lots of good tools for sale and an auction.

Joining RATS can provide an opportunity to meet and connect with other collectors and enthusiasts who share your passion for antique tools. You can exchange ideas, techniques, and experiences with others who are also interested in antique tools, which can be inspiring and motivating. Members often have access to resources, such as books, magazines, and online forums, that can help you learn more about antique tools and their history.

Many RATS members are also collectors and traders of antique tools. By joining our society, you can gain access to a network of collectors and traders who can help you find, evaluate, and trade antique tools.
